Schelling has been influenced by his study of anthropology and his travels in India where he studied and participated in the casting of sacred objects for Hindu temples. His own bronze sculptures embody a more contemporary sense of the contemplative and sacred. Schelling teaches drawing and sculpture at Clark University in Worcester, MA.
