Several years ago Henderson began making drawings of deeply etched volcanic mountains in Hawaii. Those drawings grew into a series of bronze pieces cast from wood originals. Since then his interest in the natural world has expanded to include the rugged coast of Maine… it’s ledges,  tree lined islands, and threatening cloud formations during storms at sea. He put all this work together into a cohesive presentation he simply calls “LANDSCAPE”. The originals are carved in foam or wood and then cast into iron, bronze or aluminum.
